It's Friday, so that means another installment of Moments of the Week! This week sees a death in Secret Avengers, Fantomex pulls a Joker in Uncanny X-Force, Wolverine's X-Men vs. Brood in a mutant's circulatory system, And Mera shows her disdain for people in Aquaman. We also see what happens when Galactus fights Celestials, plus the Flash gets a new piece of exercise equipment. Much more as always, so hit the jump to see what's in store.
Aquaman #6
And all
Mera wanted was dog food, landlubbers don't get her respect.
Fantastic Four #603
And here I thought
Galactus was the Power Ranger in this scenario, fighting those jerk
Celestials.
Super ultra mega blast leaves Galactus looking pretty similar to what that other Galactus looked like in Mark Millar's run.
Flash #6
Behold the new cosmic treadmill, in heavy duty commercial size.
New DC Captain Cold seems to have gotten over using his guns, to even Barry's amazement. And he froze a river on top of that, talk about a power increase.
Green Lantern: New Guardians #6
Archangel makes
Arkillo wish only his tongue was ripped out, like last time.
A construct of titanic proportions.
Mighty Thor #11
Thor headbutts you so hard that it can trigger memory when the world is hit with an amnesia spell. And speaking of Kelda...
Ouch, looks like
Karnilla and the trolls' plans have been found out.
Asgardia is open for business. Brought to you by Tony Stark, probably in exchange for lots of Asgardian mead.
New Mutants #38
Warlock nearly lets his self loose lips sink the puppy ship, but no one can say no to those puppies!
Romantic tension everywhere, but poor
Doug can't get noticed.
Secret Avengers #23
Angry
Clint is angry, don't you remember the
Thunderbolts?
Eric O'Grady looks to be squashed like the proverbial Ant-Man he was.
Transformers: Robots In Disguise #2
New Cybertron is a nice place to live, just don't be a Decepticon plotting unrest, otherwise robot ninjas will kill you in your sleep.
Uncanny X-Force #22
Weapon III appears, who has a pretty good reason for being mad at Fantomex. Stealing skin is just mean.
Uncanny X-Force or Detective Comics?
Venom #13.3
Flash's "heaven" looks interesting, but it has the same Parker Luck that regular Spider-Man has.
Mephisto keeps racking up deals with superheroes, look forward to Mephistic Avengers this fall!
Wolverine and the X-Men #6
Shouldn't
Lockheed have padding on his wings?
Kid Gladiator could make a fortune doing microscopic surgery with heat vision.
Voice activated computer teleporting guns, no wonder the school is going broke.
I always thought Skrulls were below
Badoons.
X-Men Legacy #262
Nice change of pace for the Astral Plane battles, I dig the chess panel.
Rogue let Cyclops' team know about Exodus appearing, but it looks like the Five Lights and other teen mutants got the word instead. Not what Wolverine wanted to see.

Noticed the Kitty/gun bit is a direct lift from Stormwatch.
My reviews if you so desire with a lot of pictures you see in this post: http://www.adventuresinpoortaste.com/2012/02/22/comix-weekly-2222012/
I thought that Remender went too far with that panel...this is an X-Men comic, not a horror comic. Reminded me of the movie "The Devil's Rejects". And I sincerely doubt that Fantomex actually had his face removed, it was probably a misdirection effect.
Also I miss the days when you guys were actually serious about these Moments...now everything is a joke.
I echo Rocker69's sentiment. I find myself looking less and less forward to this column. I would like to see what was important that happened this week in comics, not what jokes came to your mind while reading.
Also please lessen the number of panels for each listing. I don't need you to show me the entire comic for me to understand two important panels. Just show the important stuff.
For example, the physic battle from X-Men Legacy. Just the one splash would have sufficed. I did not need the previous page. That is a waste of space.
Rocker and Brandon: I will take your comments into consideration for the future. As far as panels go, if the comic can explain the moment itself, I'll let the panel do so. Your Legacy example would start off with Rachel explaining what she's doing mid sentence, better to let her explain it with the page/panel beforehand. Add to it we see Bobby in a bigger frost giant moment, I think the page warrants itself.
forget Wonder Woman or Power Girl, Mera is the hottest woman in DC Comics. I got a soft spot for hot, fiery redheads lol
I hope the ending to Secret Avengers #23 was a fake-out. I'd hate to see Eric O'Grady go, but at least he died a hero.
