Cover of the Week - Lockjaw & the Pet Avengers & Deadpool

This week's Cover of the Week honour is shared between the variant cover of Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers #2 and Deadpool #11. You can view both covers and our reasons for choosing them after the jump. And, as always, feel free to let us know what your cover of the week was or just let us know what you think of our picks.

Kirk's Cover of the Week - Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers #2

Kirk: This variant cover for the Pet Avengers really caught my eye with it's soft colours and unique visual style and composition. Reminds me almost of the manga, Berserk. The cover is by Canadian artist, Niko Henrichon, who is probably best known for his work on Pride of Baghdad with Brian K. Vaughan.

Matt's Cover of the Week - Deadpool #11
Matt: Great cover by Jason Pearson. It's a very creative take on what is going inside the book. Although, I have to say, Wade does not strike me as a Magnum-slinging type of guy.

Runners-Up: Uncanny X-Men: First Class Giant Size #1, Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter #1 & Final Crisis Aftermath: Escape #2

as a sucker for great art the Lockjaw variant and Uncanny X-men First Class Giant-Size (say that ten times fast) covers captivate me far too effectively.
