Cover of the Week - Phonogram & Nova

Eric's choice for his Cover of the Week was the Jamie McKelvie drawn, Phonogram: The Singles Club #2, while Matt and I went with Nova #24 by Daniel Acuña. Check out the covers, runners-up and why we chose them after the jump.

Eric's Cover of the Week - Phonogram: The Singles Club #2

Eric: I love the fact that the cover is modeled after a poster and the fact that they use music-related words, 'Guest DJs' and 'Gillen/McKelvie Productions', when describing the creative team. Plus, Jamie McKelvie art! Always a plus.

Matt's & Kirk's Cover of the Week - Nova #24

Matt: I like Acuña more as a cover artist than as an interior artist, and this is some pretty good work from him. Every time I see it, I hear the sound of a bowling ball striking the pins.

Kirk: Who didn't want to see the Nu-Nova Corps get torn a new one by the Imperial Guard? i know I had been waiting for them to be offered up as sacrificial lambs since the War of Kings started and seeing this cover had me pumped for what was in store. Loved the little touches, like the, "All Hail The Imperial Guard", tagline at the top, too.

Runners-Up: Avengers/Invaders #10, Dark Reign: The Cabal #1 & Dark Avengers #4

I guess everyone was too busy with FCBD to care about covers
