Moment of the Day - Happy Canada Day!

Uncanny X-Men #355, by Steven Seagle and Chris Bachalo

Canada Day can't happen without Wolverine fighting Alpha Flight for the millionth time! Probably because the Canucks lost the Stanley Cup, how's that for a two week old sports reference?

Jason Aaron on Original Outline for Ast. Spider-Man & Wolverine

I have proclaimed my love for Jason Aaron on repeated occasions, and just hearing what could have been on his X-Position interview makes me eager for a sequel to Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine. I mean, New World Avengers set in pre-Colombian America? Sign me the hell up! (and it would have been a nice way to tie it with his Ghost Rider work). That would have been on top of everything that was already in the book.

And make no mistake, Astonishing Spider-Man & Wolverine was already one of the craziest stories set in the Marvel Universe. Peter and Logan go globe AND time trotting visiting all kinds of locales and eras, arguing and bonding all the way to the end. You might remember I posted Adam Kubert's Doom The Living Planet some time back. It's also seriously one of the best stories I have ever read. No ground-shaking events, no "nothing will ever be the same!, or countless tie-ins, just some really solid fun and character work. I highly recommend it to any fan of the characters, and you should definitely pre-order the hardcover coming out in August.

In Pullquotes, we present a quote and related imagery, to provide a source of discussion and/or thought among our readers. Feel free to comment on the above image.

Moment of the Day - Hello Out There, We're On The Air, It's Hockey Night Tonight

The NHL regular season started up recently, so I thought I'd throw out one of the rare hockey related Moments of the Day I've come across in my travels.  Of course, Wolverine would have to be involved.  Figured he'd be an Oiler fan to be honest.

Moment of the Day - Magneto Rips Out Wolverine's Adamantium

Magneto forcibly removes Wolverine's adamantium, as seen in X-Men #25.

One of the defining moments in both Magneto and Wolverine's histories, this is still up there as one of the most memorable X-Men comics for me growing up.

Snikt Fiction Double Feature - Wolverine #1 & Road to Hell Review

Wolverine is a popular character, and two of his titles shipping on the same date is not a rare occurrence, but normally I’m a one-Wolverine-title-a-month man. So why did I pick up both of these titles? Two words: Jason. Aaron. The man knows how to write everyone’s favorite Canuck superhero, and I’m a big fan of pretty much everything he has written. He is contributing a short story in “Wolverine: Road to Hell” among others, and he is the main auteur of the brand new Wolverine title. Hit the jump to see what I thought about these two titles.
