Cover of the Week - Uncanny X-Men and Sex Criminals

We're already into the next one, but that doesn't mean we can't take a moment to recognize the Covers of the Week from the last one.  This time around, we've some extremely awkward yearbook photos and some rather carnal crooks.  Hit the jump to check these bad boys, along with our honourable mentions!

Ken's Cover of the Week - Uncanny X-Men #14 by Chris Bachalo

Ken: A cover that actually works with the story inside it, from Benjamin's mutant ability to shape change topped off with Cyclops bossing him around. It's essentially a 25-panel page, which you very rarely see these days, so another kudos to Bachalo for making this stand out.

Grant's Cover of the Week - Sex Criminal #3 by Chip Zdarksy

Grant: Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarksy have been throwing down some absolutely amazing comics within the pages of Sex Criminals, and it's nice to see that that brilliant work extends to every aspect of the book.  Zdarksy's covers have been consistently gorgeous over the course of this series' early days, and this one for #3 is no exception.  They design and layout are beautiful on their own, but what really sets these covers apart is how they many to be provocative without being vulgar.  So while the image is undeniably sexually charged, it doesn't necessarily feel obscene.  Love them Sex Crims.

Runner-Ups:  Batman '66 #5, Wolverine MAX #13, Zero #3
