Moment of the Day - 90's Costume Week Part II: Nightwing
Nightwing #2, by Dennis O'Neil and Greg Land
A costume change that was so good it goes unnoticed that it was from the 90's, Nightwing's now classic black and blue V costume came about in a mini-series where Dick gave up the disco suit and needed something more covert. This wins the costume change timeline, having lasted for about 15 years, and even then only being replaced with a red version of the costume. As for Dick's ridiculous pony tail, he loses that a few months later in the first issue of his ongoing series. I think what's even more surprising is that Greg Land could actually draw instead of trace back in 1995.

Hands down that's Dick's best costume, but that ponytail is so terrible I'd actually favor his old costume with mullet over new costume with ponytail.
That costume lasted all the way to the New 52, and even then it just changed from blue to red. Still looks badass, even though with red it makes me think of the Robin costume in Schumacher's Batman and Robin *shudder*
