Cover of the Week - Supergirl & New Avengers

This week's Cover of the Week nominations, courtesy of Matt and myself, go out to New Avengers #57 and Supergirl #45 respectively.  Each was chosen for different reasons, but you'll have to hit the jump to find out why and to see and judge each cover for yourself.

Kirk's Cover of the Week - Supergirl #45

Kirk: Wow, Joshua Middleton does a fantastic job on this.  Best part of this cover has to be the expressions on each of their faces.  The perspective from the crosshairs of the gun also makes for a dyanmic cover, as if we're the ones pointing the gun and they're just noticing us.  Really, just a perfect cover all around. Also, as I recently did a lot of, uhem, research (reading comics is tough work) on CrossGen, it's amazing to see how far he's come since his days on Meridian.  If only we could get him doing the interiors on a book again, everything would be right in the world.

Matt's Cover of the Week - New Avengers #57

Matt: Have I mentioned how much I love Stuart Immonen? Not this week, I believe. I love Stuart Immonen, and this cover is a perfect example of his craft. Simple, yet very expressive. A lot of credit must also go to whoever the colourist was (Dave McCaig?) because the use of black and red hues is also perfect.

Runners-Up: Wolverine: First Class #19, Power Girl #5 & Avengers: The Initiative #28

I have to agree on the New Avengers cover. Even if I didn't like the comic, I'd buy that one just for the cover.

I got turned on to Immonen's work through "superman: Secret Identity" - I thought it was some of the best art I'd seen (and I've eben reading comics for a LOOOOONG time).

wolvie first class has managed to have great covers twice in a row now for me. shame that the content of this issue isn't as crazy as the relevant-to-x-factor issue before it.

Another cool function is that WeChat allows you to +logout+.
Nothing much to say about this application, as its name states
it all. It allows you record your music or other rehearsals, alongside with your annotations on them.

It will also keep you from hurting yourself if you have such tendencies during anxiety attacks.
They pushed up on me on Ridgeway, taunting me, and claiming I was nothing without Dee.

No, you probably can't find a brown paper bag in any of your local stores but, if you shop
online, you can still purchase them in assorted sizes.
