Everything Old is New Again

Came across this cover in my travels on ye ol'interwebs. I guess this is where they took the Karate Kid as the harbringer of the Great Disaster plot from. It would have actually made a little sense if they made this where he contracted the virus instead of the official line being "he got it when he went back in time and it mutated in his super advanced blood which should have been too advanced to catch the virus in the first place".

The issue above is actually about Kamandi getting captured by lobster men and Karate Kid being called an animal by a dog with a pipe and Sherlock Holmes hat. Good stuff.
