Ken: The series has had an interesting take on time breaking up with holes appearing on the damaged individuals, and on a cover it looks even better. You know something is wrong right away without reading any previous issues, and the consistency and depth Stegman keeps on Miguel makes the effect look even better. You could have just photoshopped holes in but seeing it look almost like time is unraveling the person is so much more consistent than just fading away.
Grant's Cover of the Week - Baltimore: The Infernal Train #2 by Ben Stenbeck
Grant: I love the image and its weird, off-putting symbolism, but what really stands out to me here is the cover's colours. The muddied red of the monstrous fiend clashes nicely with the bright, blood red of the bird, and the whole thing really pops on that orangey-yellow background. It even mixes nicely with the trade dress at the top. The whole thing builds to a nice package that begs to be read.
