Grant: With the New 52 looking like it'll be here for the foreseeable future, the question on everyone's (read: my) mind has been "how the heck does Grant Morrison's Batman Inc. fit into this new status quo? Especially when you consider that Stephanie Brown apparently doesn't exist anymore? Not to mention a hundred other minor changes that make things not fit quite as well as one would hope." Well, this is it, folks. The moment you've all (read: maybe still just me) been waiting for! It certainly seems like a tall task, but if anyone can pull it off, it's probably Grant Morrison.

Grant: Hooray for Chew! This series continues to be one of my favourite things on stands right now. John Layman and Rob Guillory are two of the most creative dudes I know, as they continue to impress with their work on this series. While the concept of "a dude who learns all the memories of everything he eats" is admittedly pretty great, I'm still kind of blown away that they've managed to give it this much legs. I used to ask how they expected to get this series to last an entire 60 issues, but now I'm content to sit back and enjoy the inevitable journey.

Grant: This series has really been picking up the pace (pun intended). While things have been moving perhaps a little too fast, I do appreciate the momentum they've built up over the past two or three issues. As we've already established, unlike the rest of the comic reading world, having gorillas on the cover doesn't instantly guarantee my patronage, but I am intrigued to see what the New 52's Gorilla Grodd is like. Early prediction: as big of a jerk as the Old 52 Gorilla Grodd.

Grant: Okay, technical question. How do Mike Carey and Peter Gross keep raising the stakes on this book? After the intense craziness that was "The War of Words", I figured they might take the pedal off the gas for a bit, but clearly I'm dead wrong on that one. It looks like we're taking a great leap through time to get us right into the next major adventure of Tom Taylor and company. Considering how things ended last time we checked in with the team, I'll be interested to see how Tom's been dealing with things. Either way, I'm eager to see what's coming next for this amazing series!
Talk about a week of quality over quantity. Each and every one of these books look to be fan-friggin'-tastic, and I can't wait to get my paws on them. What about you, gentle reader? Do you have some delightful titles coming your way this week? I certainly hope so!

Re: BATMAN INC continuity - I assume that DC is just going to use the same broad-stroke continuity that it has been using for GREEN LANTERN and BATMAN, in general, since the New 52 relaunch (where the basic story outlined has happened but the details aren't quite the same). For example: Jason Todd has been murdered by the Joker, returned to life and become the Red Hood. Since the New 52, the basic story is the same but the way he returned to life has changed. Same thing with BLACKEST NIGHT: it happened but many of the story points have changed or been done away with. For instance, Firestorm was resurrected at the end of BN, yet, only recently appeared for the first time according to the new continuity. Same with Hawkgirl/woman. Was the Anti-Monitor the source of the Black Lantern if the Monitor never existed? Again, the story happened but the details have changed. I assume that is how DC will treat the backstory of BATMAN INC.
Or...they'll do what they did for FINAL CRISIS....let Grant Morrison tell whatever story he wants and retcon out the parts they don't like, later.
I really hate that. I agree that's what DC is doing but it sucks and seems contrary to spirit of new 52.
So you've never a comic before, awesome, new 52 relaunching universe. But oh wait we didn't really. We just kept stuff we liked. There's still a ton of continuity and backstory for most charecters that transitioned over.
@jack - I'm really hoping they just do the latter.
@anon - Yeah, the relaunch has been less than ideal, picking and choosing what it wants to keep and what it wants to replace in a seemingly arbitrary manner.
