Moment of the Day - Kids Teaching Kids Respect
JSA #21, by David Goyer, Geoff Johns, and Buzz
The adult heroes might have trouble getting through to kids these days, but the younger heroes know when to apply pressure themselves. I miss Jakeem and Stargirl.

I hear you - I'm still trying to adapt to the idea some of those vibrant characters won't be around. Because they CAN'T. The JSA's best direction was when they were doing just what Stargirl said - showing the world how it's done and training the next generation. But with those generations removed and the founders being young again, no point. Tragic. Stargirl, Jakeem, Atom Smasher & Damage... they were some of the better-developed characters in DC, too!! But I'm just grateful Mr. Terrific (with a worse look) and Power Girl made the cut at all. And I liked the interconnections when superheroes needed a doctor and went to Dr. Mid-nite, so maybe he'll emerge somehow.
Stargirl used to be one of my favorite characters in JSA, maybe the DCU.
But the new-52 is trying so hard to be Wild Storm (granted, it belonged to DC in the first place) with some Top Cow mixed in, it's not even funny.
I have to agree with Thunderbolt. The JSA is just one of the tons of team books in the Dc universe much less all super hero comics. This seems like a really awkward attempt to make the book seems important. If you're creating a new character he or she can get their inspiration from anywhere not just a bunch of old trademarks characters dc threw into one team.
