Weekly Cover of the Week - D.B. Cooper and Unwritten

Hot on the heels of our reviews, we have the weekly Cover of the Week award.  Hit the jump to see what the brand new D.B. Cooper has to offer, as well as to enjoy the perennially great work of The Unwritten!

Ryan's Cover of the Week - The Secret History of D.B. Cooper #1 by Brian Churilla

Ryan: This actually wasn't a bad week for comics at all but one cover intrigued me enough to click the preview link, and now I even think I'm going to purchase a copy. This cover is wicked crazy, just soak it in for a moment. The title sounds like some sort of politco-espionage type thriller, the synopsis even seems to support this - to a degree. Then you see this cover and you kind of have to know, right? This is even more impressive when you take into account the fact J.H. Williams III did the variant cover and this one beat it out.

Grant's Cover of the Week - Unwritten #35 by Yuko Shimizu

Grant: Yuko Shimizu is perhaps the most talented cover artist in comics today.  Her transcendent work is as much a part of The Unwritten as anything that you'll find within the book itself.  I absolutely love this image, especially the way Lizzie Hexam's hair is made up of smaller words that tell a story of their own.  It's a beautiful representation of the character, as well as the series as a whole.

Sorry, no runners-up this week due to technical limitations!  What would you pick as the top cover that graced stands in the last 7 days?

Dave Johnson's cover for Lobster Johnson #3 was fantastic.
