Who is Behind The Weekly Crisis?
My name is Kirk Warren and I’m a full time comic fan blowing my pay cheques on way too many comics every week.
Back in the early 90's, my mother bought me a Spider-Man comic to shut me up on a trip. I didn’t know it at the time, but that moment changed my life. Since then I've become a full blown comic fan and now purchase well in excess of 20 comics per month plus trades and other comic related goods.
As you can see, I've taken my hobby to the next step with this blog and it's allowed me to connect every single day with thousands of people that share the same passion I have for comics and I wouldn't change that for the world.

As a long-time Ice fan, I always thought Tora was both a positive influence and good character-foil for Guy Gardner. Tora may not have been the sole moving force for it, but she definitely sparked off a lot of positive character growth for Guy. Likewise, the nice-girl & bad-boy mix is a well-established methodology in the romance writing field.
But while Ice may have been the right girl for Guy, I never really believed that Guy was the right boy for Tora. Nice-girl & bad-boy aside, the characters themselves never really meshed or "clicked" for me.
I think in recent times, it might have worked out had Ice become the Blue (Hope) Lantern of Sector 2814 (Earth) since she always tries to see the best in everyone and always hopes for the best, but DCnU has killed that possibility (so far).
