Cover of the Week - Red Skull & X-23

I know, I know, you are waiting for the reviews of last week's comics, aren't you? Don't worry they are coming soon. In the mean time, we have this week's edition of Cover of the Week to tide you over. Hit the jump to see the winners.

Matt's Cover of the Week - X-23 #14 by Kalman Andrasofzky

Matt: Really nice cover work, with a good idea of composition and just completely full of personality. The simple color palette makes it stick out even more. I really hope to see more from this cover artist, as his/her work seems really good.

Ken & Grant's Cover of the Week - Red Skull Incarnate #3 by David Aja

Ken: This Red Skull mini has had some nice covers, but this one really stands out for the propaganda inspired poster (with creases), and the Nietzsche quote "what doesn't kill me, makes me stronger." Losing your face can definitely make you stronger.

Grant: David Aja really nailed it this week with this stunning cover, and Ken nailed all the reasons I love it.  The attention to detail on this cover is amazing.  The pretend creases, the pointillism sky, the German war machine marching forward, it all adds up to one beautiful piece of art.
