Swipe File - Two Apes, One Cover

Art by Karl Richardson & Francis Manapul

If you had asked me what were the chances of opening the Previews catalog and finding two covers featuring a big scary ape crushing a human skull, I would say they were near zero. Two of them? Even less.

And yet here we are. On the left we have BOOM!'s Planet of the Apes  cover, and on the right DC's Grodd of War, part of their Flashpoint event. I don't think this is a true swipe, as the art is very different on both of these, just one of those odd coincidences where two artists will use the same layout and/or composition.

Yay it's Ryan the patronizing ass, god forbid a reader would have a negative opinion of a feature

Sorry, Anon, that has been mostly my fault.

Francine-I don't see a negative opinion of this feature...I see someone annoyed we took a weekend. I also see me smiling, but thanks for the name-calling. Appreciated.
