Cover of the Week - Captain America: Hail Hydra & Generation Hope

After a long sabbatical, we are back with Cover of the Week to our regular Sunday schedule! This week seems to be marked by the lack of DC's cover, as they are going through their month of "iconic logo/character covers", which they are, but not particularly what we look for our in our winning covers. Anyway, hit the jump to see them.

Ryan L.'s Covers of the Week - Captain America: Hail HYDRA! #1 by Adi Granov

Ryan L.: Sure, all some of you might see is a very gratuitous package shot on the old Captain but what I see is a very well put together cover. Cap looks amazing but it's the HYDRA design that I really love. The colours of the background work so well and the logos match together in a brilliant display of cover dress. I love this cover, though I do admittedly love HYDRA, and I think it says something that this ships the same week as the Ultimate Comics Captain America series launches and the cover for that one just looks incredibly stale and basic.

Matt's Cover of the Week - Generation Hope #3 by Oliver Coipel

Matt: I'm not sure I can quantify exactly what I like about this cover. It just pops off and catches your attention, and I particularly like the way the background is used to provide a contrast with the foreground image.

Runner-Ups:  She-Hulks #3, Sweet Tooth #17, X-Factor #213

Is the Captain America cover supposed to be modeled on the new movie Cap? Or at least just the face?
