We are familiar with such campaigns, and it is always encouraging when fans try to save books they love. If you haven't checked it out already, you should buy the first trade (which is already the #6 ranked comic book/graphic novel on Amazon) and support this title. Langridge mentioned on his blog that if people show interest and the book somehow comes back, it would mean that the book has a chance to reach the conclusion it was always intended to have.

Buy this book folks!! I'm buying this trade and will also continue to buy the remaining issues. In fact, I may buy multiple copies of the trade to give as gifts. This comic truly is a blast for Thor fans as well as those unfamiliar with the character. Indeed, female readers, younger readers, ALL fan's of the comic book medium would appreciate this series if they gave it a chance! My girlfriend loves it and I'll be giving a copy to my niece as well!
Quite saddened to hear this as I was really looking forward to reading the trades. I pre-ordered the first 2 TPBs and sent off a screen shot of my order to Marvel on twitter. Really hope this move to save the title can at least let the creative team make it to #12 :(
ah man! I've got the book on my 'pre-order soon' list (as a christmas gift... from me... to me), you'd think they'd (a) at least wait for initial sales of the first trade (b) at least let it get to #12 and (c) maybe keep it going until the movie comes out next year to see if that has some sort of sales bump.
I've heard great things about it (through this site and others) and was really looking forward to some good, old-fashioned fun! (of course I'll still order it)
Every week Marvel will crush our hearts.
Thanos Imperative, T:MA getting cancelled, next week they'll kill Lockjaw or Throg...
I know it's popular around here, but I just never liked it. I gave it two issues and it never did it for me, even though I thought the art was pretty good.
Same here. Tried the first 2 issues after reading the glowing reviews, but it just didn't take.
Guardians of the Galaxy on the other hand.....
Oscar
@Dennis & Oscar: At least you gave it a try. Even if you ultimately didn't enjoy the title, you aided sales infinitely more (literally) than those who never parted with the $3 in the first place. Every little bit helped, even if it wasn't enough in the end.
At this point, with the FOC having past for December's books, the earliest issue to make a difference would be eight, the final issue. Buying issue seven in large numbers at individual stores is likely impossible at this point.
Maybe if we can all convince our retailers to order like crazy, we can at least get the last four issues Landridge had planned.
I like the whole idea of saving a book. I'm game for checking it out. However when Guardians, Nova, Hawkeye/Mockingbird, Spider-Girl, and my personal favorite Atlas gets canned it leaves me wondering...
