Moment of the Day - Guardians of the Galaxy in a Nutshell

Guardians of the Galaxy summed up in one page.

If you ever wondered why I love (loved with the perpetual "hiatus" it's currently on?) Guardians of the Galaxy, this page from Annihilation: Conquest sums it up perfectly with their attitude towards saving the universe and heroics in general.

Timothy Green II art on the mini series was something special. That was probably one of my favourite minis ever.

With the end of the Thanos Imperative I miss this book even more now...

Man, I miss these guys so much. At least Thanos Imperative was so superb that if they don't come back, at least it can be said they ended on a qualitative high note.

This moment is the essence of the Guardians and what makes it so good! Here's hoping the hiatus is very short term.

Anonymous #1, that's Tom Raney art from the Conquest story. Timothy Green drew the Star-Lord mini series leading to the Conquest mini.

The ending of THANOS IMPERATIVE just broke my heart. DnA's cosmic stories have surpassed Jim Starlin and Stan & Jack for best Marvel cosmic stories ever.

@Aaron K ...

The ending of the THANOS IMPERATIVE was great!! Those characters, going out the way they did, was awesome. JUST. AWESOME.

Also, while DNA, might have added to the cosmic stories, they haven't surpassed them. Starlin, Lee and Kirby are legends for a reason.

DNA are standing on the shoulders of giants. They are consistently my favorite read, but if it weren't for Starlin, Lee and Kirby, they wouldn't have the cosmos they have to explore.

*sniff* A great quintet of cosmic tales comes to a close and damn...I think I have a void in my comic reading heart now....
