Cover of the Week - Punisher: In the Blood & Strange Tales

Welcome to another edition of Cover of The Week! This week was one filled of particularly strong covers, and I'm sure people will disagree or have their own favorite. Hit the jump to see the winning covers.

Ryan L.'s Cover of the Week - Punisher: In The Blood #1 by Francesco Mattina

Ryan L.: This cover just gets creepier the longer you look at it, and especially the closer you get to it. The stitches really do it for me but it's the air in the piece too, is Frank emerging from Heaven, a big freezer, or just your deepest nightmares? Many people don't draw Frank Castle, the actual man and his face, the way I see him. Mattina does, perfectly.

Matt's Cover of the Week - Strange Tales #2 by Jaime Hernandez

Matt: This cover is just good, clean, fun! And on top of that they got one of the Hernandez Bros. to do a cover. Surely, no more explanation is needed, right?

Runner-Ups: Scarlet #3, Secret Six #27, Superboy #1

I thought the Superboy cover was just plain awesome simplicity

Superboy's is my vote too.

It looks generic at first glance, but his smirk, and the way it uses the whole cover just makes it look like the interior is good as well (and it was).

Ditto Superboy.

First, Bane broke the bat. How does one top that? By breaking in a freakin' T-Rex. AWESOME!!
