Moment of the Day - Dr Doom vs Purple Man

From the OGN Emperor Doom

The Purple Man's power allows him to control anyone near him through a pheromone he releases.  It is nearly impossible to resist, but Dr Doom does so through sheer force of will just to prove that he is superior to Purple Man and break his spirit.  All hail Doom!

I like that scene. Doomwar complimented this type of Doom willpower rather well, suck on that Hal. Never heard of Emperor Doom OGN until now though.

This is one of the reasons why Doom is such a great villain. The number of people in the Marvel U that have as strong a will as Doom can be counted on one hand.

This graphic novel is kind of neat (and its ending compliments Doom's behavior in SECRET WARS). I've always wondered if it's canonical, though rather doubt it. Did Doom *actually* conquer the Earth only to let it go? I hope so!

This was a great graphic novel of the 80's.
That page stuck with me for years and gives in my opinion a great characterization of the good Doctor. I have not enjoyed his appearances as much since then.
I was lucky enough to meet Bob Hall the illustrator and get him to sign my copy.
What a gentleman he was.

Oh Doom, like few other villains, he hasn't suffered villain decay. Every time he shows up, he's a force to be reckoned with. The tech of Iron Man with the magic of Doc Strange. Oh how I love me some Victor von Doom.

Marvel really should re-print some of these OGN's they did on the 80's. As far as I know, the only one that is in print is X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills.

Now that I think about it, Death of Captain Marvel is probably in print too, and so is the New Mutants one (as part of a bigger collection)

I would venture to ask this, who has a stronger will force of this 3 characters: Doctor Doom, Bruce Wayne or Hal Jordan?

Anon #8 - Doctor Doom has the stronger willpower because who can you get to weaken it? His true love became mystical armor, his mom is in some sort of afterlife, and Doom would gladly sacrifice Latervia if it meant gaining the Earth if not the Universe.

Bruce's will can be compromised with putting loved ones and Gotham in danger...

Hal.. well get any lil thing in a short skirt to wink at him or an ethnic old man to hit him with logic and Hal folds!

@Darryll: I hate to recognize that you are right.

And your comment about Hal was really funny hahaha ; )
