Bryan Lee O'Malley Says Game Over for Scott Pilgrim
Over in his Twitter account, Bryan Lee O'Malley answered what I imagine to be hundreds of questions regarding the future of the Scott Pilgrim franchise, including characters outside of the titular protagonist. Direct and to the point, O'Malley said that "Vol 6 is the last Scott Pilgrim book. You'll just have to fanfic the "rest" ...was that not clear?"
I have to admit that deep below, I am bit disappointed. Obviously, not every story has to go on forever, and Scott Pilgrim's tale is obviously over, but I would have loved a Kim Pine centric book. O'Malley created such a wonderful world filled with interesting characters, that I think it's impossible not to feel that way, but he shot down that possibility as well. What do you think? Which supporting characters would you have liked to take the center stage?

I pretty much agree with him.
And I'll definitely keep an eye on whatever he comes up with next.
I'm more interested in seeing what he does next than any more Scott Pilgrim stuff. He spent the better part of a decade with these characters. And I honestly adore the books, but it was a good ending and I'd like to move on.
THAT said, Kim Pine might be my favorite character in this book(that or Wallace) so some kind of Kim Pine one-shot down the line would have been neat-o.
the books rocked and the movied rocked. couldn't ask for more. I'm excited to see what he comes up with next.
