Cover of the Week - X-Men Legacy & Thor
Ryan and I tackle the covers of the week this time around. He went with X-Men: Legacy #232 while I chose Thor #606. It was actually a great week for covers, so these were difficult choices and any one of the runners-up could have made the cut. Hit the jump to see why we chose each.
Ryan's Cover of the Week - X-Men: Legacy #232
Ryan: Adi Granov really nailed it with this eye-catching cover. His great body language and simple execution are really intriguing. This is one of the few covers this week that screams out for readers attention.
Kirk's Cover of the Week - Thor #606
Kirk: Even if I didn't know that was Dr Doom in his custom Destroyer armour with his boot heel on Thor's throat, I'd still love this cover. It has an iconic feel and I just love the zoomed focus of it. You're left wanting to see how Thor is losing and if he can come back from whomever is crushing him on this cover and making you want to read the book is the job of any good cover, so this one comes out on top for me.

I bought this week's Amazing Spider-Man (#619?) just based on the cover. One of the covers of the year.
World's Finest issue 4 for me. Either cover really. I've been loving Phil noto's stuff for this mini far more than anyone ever should.
Magneto's grabbing some Rogue action!
"Dr Doom in his custom Destroyer armour"
These seven words make me want to buy it right now.
That X-men Legacy cover makes me wonder how many X-men covers have had the same thing going on. I remember Kitty Pryde and Colossus, Domino and Wolverine..I'm sure there are others. It just strikes me as unoriginal. Others have done it better. Magneto looks like his shoulder should be out of socket. My vote is for the X-Babies cover, and anything selse Skottie Young does.
I agree with this week's Amazing Spider-Man #619 cover! It's gorgeous, and very fitting with what happens inside.
