Cover of the Week - The Mighty and Cinderella: From Fabletown With Love

Pray to the Technology Gods, and ready the sacrificial lambs, because they are very, very angry at Kirk, who is once again having trouble with his computer. Things may be a little hectic next week until he gets back, but the rest of us will keep the blog going in the mean time.

Ryan and myself, once again, are choosing the Cover of the Week, and let's just say that if you are familiar with our taste, you won't be very surprised by them. Hit the jump to see what I mean.

Matt's Cover of the Week - The Mighty #12

Matt: It's no surprise that a Dave Johnson earns the honor for Cover of the Week, the man is a machine at pumping out iconic and eye catching covers. What really sold me on this cover, for the final issue of the series, is that it plays as a symmetrical book end to the first cover of the series, which had a similar pose.

Ryan's Cover of the Week - Cinderella: From Fabletown with Love #3

Ryan: It probably isn't much of a surprise that I'd choose this cover based upon my love for Chrissie Zullo's covers for this miniseries so far.  This one really appeals to me because of its great textures, bold choices, and the new things I find every time I look at the cover again.

Runner-ups: Marvel Boy: The Uranian #1, Blackest Night: Wonder Woman #2 (Ryan Sook Variant), X-Men Noir: Mark of Cain

Pretty awesome covers. Superman needs a cover "a la" The Mighty.

It was nice of Power Girl to loan Cinderella her wetsuit, also.

Hands down this week went to Marvel Boy: The Uranian for me. I mean it's so impacting whilst not really breaking the norm

@Ivan: He kind of had them already, with Superman: Red Son.

@PMMJ: But this one has a logo in the hole!

@Flip: That one was my runner up, and almost the winner as well.

The shoe logo in the hole of Cindy's suit being the water rundown from the breath piece, that's a great touch.

Hm, nice. I have to get the Red Son trade eventually
