Cover of the Week - Deadpool & Doom Patrol

Hello gang, as I mentioned in yesterday's moments of the week, Kirk is out on vacation, so I'm still at the helm of this ship. It's up to me and Ryan to pick which one were the best covers of the week, and the buzzword for this edition seems to be "eye-catching", as we both went with covers that had that specific quality. Hit the jump to see our picks.

Matt's Cover of the Week - Deadpool #16

Matt: I think I mentioned the last time we had a Jason Pearson cover on here, but right now he is one of my favorite cover artists. He has a great eye for simple yet eye-catching images, even if the card motif is not exactly a new one, he still manages to make it fresh. My favorite part, though, is that Deadpool and Cyclops seem to be making fist-bump (I'm not sure if that's intentional or not).

Ryan's Cover of the Week - Doom Patrol #3

Ryan: In a week with few electrifying covers, this one rises above the rest, not because of any exceptional qualities in its composition, but instead because it is just so eye-catching.  This is just a striking image that stays with you.

Runner-ups: Planetary #27, X-Men vs. Agent of Atlas #1 (Humberto Ramos Variant)

I really liked the Sweet Tooth cover, then again, I really like Sweet Tooth.

I'm between Sweet Tooth #2 and the Ramos Atlas variant myself. That or Black Panther #9 cause i'm a rampant fanboy

In all honesty, Ramos is one of my least favorite artists. I just don't like his style at all.

I think he's easily the most polarising artist out there. He just happens to fit my love of fun comics. I mean what's more fun than an over the top cartoon style?

Matt, I don't think we can be friends anymore.

I like Ramos fine but I preferred the original cover to X-Men v. In fact, that'd probably be my favorite for this week.
