Cover of the Week - Animal Man and Red She-Hulk

Time for your Covers of the Week!  This time around, we have a perfect example of how a night at the movies can go awry, along with some extreme rock climbing by one angry lady.  Check behind the cut to see these beauts, along with our honourable mentions for the week!

Ken's Cover of the Week - Animal Man #20 by Jae Lee

Ken: There's just so much going on in this cover that it almost feels like a Norman Rockwell piece. Buddy is front an center to let you know this is his book, the pose mimicking the movie poster behind him is well done, you even have little things like Red Thunder being in theaters the same time as Man of Steel. And then you have the old man jamming away on an iPod, paying no mind to anything. This is the kind of cover I want to see more of

Grant's Cover of the Week - Red She-Hulk #65 by Francesco Francavilla

Grant: Francesco Francavilla is a fantastic cover artist, and this one is no exception.  The scene of Red-She Hulk (which is possibly one of the most unwieldy hero names ever) climbing a cliff-face in front of a Mt. Rushmore made up of major Marvel villains is a cool idea that looks even better under Francavilla's pen.  I also dig the little fun details Francavilla has put into the piece, including the way "Red" and "She-Hulk" intersect to from the book's title and the renaming of the famous mount to "Mt. Crushmore".  Hilarious.

Runner-Ups:  Hawkeye #10, Suicide Risk #1, Ultimate Comics X-Men #26

Woah! I'm really loving the template/theme of this website. It's simple, yet
effective. A lot of times it's very difficult to get that "perfect balance" between usability and visual appearance. I must say you have done a superb job with this. Also, the blog loads very fast for me on Chrome. Excellent Blog!
