Cover of the Week - Uncanny X-Force and Angel and Faith
And as the weekend draws to its close, we leave you with our picks for Covers of the Week. This time around, there's an exceptional force and a malt shop trio for your viewing pleasure. So check that jump to see these beauts, along with our honourable mentions for the week!
Ken's Cover of the Week - Uncanny X-Force #3 by Kris Anka
Ken: Nice contrast on this cover. Crazy Bishop allows for the bright lights, and instead of just awkward posing there's a reason for Betsy to be in her ninja pose for the reader, because she's trying to get away from Bishop. You also have two odd colors duking it out, a teal color and borderline pink, which is something I haven't really seen before, and it works.
Grant: Now this is a fun cover. A wonderful allusion to Archie Comics, and I kind of love how goofy Spike and Angel are, while Faith is completely fed up by them. I also enjoy the surprisingly appropriate parallels between the Archie and Buffy-verse. Not only is this a visual treat, it makes you think (at least a little bit).
Runner-Ups: B.P.R.D. Vampire #1, I, Vampire #18, Young Avengers #3
