Cover of the Week - Ultimates and Young Avengers

Welcome one and all to our ever enjoyable Covers of the Week.  This time around, we have some superheroic fighting on the final frontier and some younger champions who seem to be holding a bit of a grudge.  So follow the jump to check these and our honourable mentions out.

Ken's Cover of the Week - Ultimates #20 by David Yardin

Ken: There's just something about the cover I like, from the faded colors to the idea that Hydra is growing faster than President Cap can fix, or maybe it's that we see the back of Cap's shield in what seems like the first time ever on a cover.

Grant's Cover of the Week - Young Avengers #1 Variant by Bryan Lee O'Malley

Grant: Considering his street cred as the author of Scott Pilgrim, one of the best comics about young people known to man, there isn't really a better person to tap for a variant cover for Young Avengers than Bryan Lee O'Malley.  It also helps that he's a brilliant artist, delivering a gorgeous rendition of the book's main characters that hints at their personalities and relationships to each other.  I wasn't able to track down a copy of this issue for myself, but I wish I had.

Runner-Ups:  The Massive #8, Uncanny X-Force #1, Batwoman #16
