Crisis on Infinite Arts - Declan Shalvey's Shadowland Tie-In

Declan Shalvey (Homepage | deviantArt | Twitter) was announced as a guest artist for the upcoming Shadowland tie-ins for Thunderbolts. I thought, seeing as comics are delayed a day this week due to the July 4th holiday in the US, we'd take a look at his art in lieu of the Post-Crisis Previews, which will be up tomorrow. To go along with The Hand ninja image above, we've got some of his sketches for Thunderbolts and other unrelated artwork he's done.

Ryan Lindsay'd probably smack me if I didn't spotlight an Iron Fist sketch.

A nice Thor image.  Reminds me of the Thor by Rafael Albuquerque from a previous Infinite Arts post.

I like the fabric of Batman's costume.  Most artists draw heroes with costumes that look like they were spray painted on.  This one has seams and the gloves and boots have different thickness.

Loved this Crossbones image.

This Juggernaut was great, too.  I'm a sucker for dot shading, though.

Fixer just doesn't give a #$%^.

A cover to Declan's work on 28 Days Later #13.

Goddamn he's a fine artist. Been watching his art blog for a while now and it's always spectacular. I'd pay to read this guy on any of my titles.

And, yes Kirk, that slap has been averted by your use of iron Fist first, thank you very much.

His Thor reminds me of Olivier Coipels Thor.

I REALLY like the Batman one though.

His Crossbones design looks very similar to Kev Walker's, although that's probably intentional to maintain visual consistency when he takes his place on Thunderbolts.
