Cover of the Week - Incorruptible & Marvel Zombies 5

Another busy week for The Weekly Crisis! We had our usual articles, reviews, moments, even another contest, and everything else you love from this site, but it also marked the return of Kirk to regularly updating. Next week looks to be just as busy here, but in the mean time, we'll take it easy since it's Sunday. That means we get to pick the Cover of the Week! Hit the jump to see them.

Ryan L's Cover of the Week - Incorruptible #5 by Rafael Albuquerque

Ryan L.: I really dig this cover, on a few levels. Mostly because Albuquerque does an awesome job, and generally does, but I dig the almost like Criminal vibe I get from it though it's just a tad more playful. The bosomy lass on the massive pile of money, the tussled hair, the slightly parted lips, and the kinky domino mask, they're all great. But then I looked one more time, and yep, she's holding a sizable lollypop. This is a centerfold by way of a superhero cover, and that's a ballsy play to make. I'll also add that the negative space, the money print on top, and bottom, work well to draw the eye, but ultimately Albuquerque's playmate gets me across the line in what was a week with a fair few damn fine covers.

Matt's Cover of the Week - Marvel Zombies 5 #2 by Mike Kaluta

Matt: This was a really strong week for covers, and there was some staunch competition (and I know we're definitely getting an angry comment for not picking the Fantastic Four cover), but what ultimately won me over in this cover is the crazy mechanical arms and legs that Machine Man is sporting here. There's something very European about the design, and Kaluta is channeling some Moebius in here too, with the intricate design on them. Add in a great captured shot of the action, and the unusual angle, and this one is a winner.
