The Weekly Crisis - One Year Later Anniversary!

Over the next week, here at The Weekly Crisis, I’m planning to give away over $100 (CAD) worth of comic trade paperbacks for The Weekly Crisis One Year Later Anniversary!

You heard me right - using the funds from my Amazon.com Affiliates Store and the little bit of advertising money that has accrued over the past year, I am personally giving away over $100 in prizes for this event and every cent of them will be going to you Weekly Crisis readers over the next five days. The prizes will be given out daily through a variety of different contests.

The purpose of these One Year Later contests is to reward and say thanks to you, the readers, who have helped make the Weekly Crisis what it is today.

What To Expect

Over the next few days, I will be posting various retrospective posts in celebration of a year's worth of posts here at the Weekly Crisis. These will be more than simple link lists of the past year of posts and will hopefully serve as an introduction to new readers, a trip down memory lane for long time readers and a thank you to the readers.

These posts will be marked with the OYL tag and the image banners will bear the OYL logo to the left.

Finally, everyday there will be a new contest (sometimes more than one!) for readers to enter and win the various prizes and trades, some of which you suggested in my recent call for prize ideas post.

But first - to increase your chances of taking home some of these prizes, you’re going to want to subscribe to my RSS feed so that you’re up to date with the different competitions that will be running (note - one contest will be given out exclusively to RSS feed subscribers, but, for all other contests, this is not a condition of entry - just a way to make sure you get all the updates you’ll need to participate).

• Prizes will be won / given away in a series of different contests over the next week.


• I'll be launching the first contest later today.


• The competitions will have a range of entry criteria. Some will simply be asking you to leave a comment to say that ‘you’re in’. Others will require you to fill out an entry form (like my you did in my Atomic Robo contest). Others, still, will require you to answer a simple question, such as what I can do to improve the Weekly Crisis or what your favourite part of the site is.
